I too need to find a property to rent which will accept DSS and I also have two house trained cats.

I currently live with my brother who works fulltime and is my carer i have bipolar disorder and we are in a one bedroom flat due to a mental breakdown i had last november i am in reciept of dss and we have been issued with a notice to quit by our landlord who is selling the property.

We desparately need a two bed house in plymouth rental 380/400 per month, any advice to point us in the right directions would be appreciated, many thanks.

i am currently finding it very difficult to find a rented property due to meself being on d.l.a and incapacity, i wish to move to cornwall, i am looking on line everyday with no luck, i have 2 staffies who are adorable and well behaved. I have read on other forums some landlords will not accept dss as they think we are all either using drugs, dirty, or heavy drinkers, this is not the case, only a few of the minority, which is very unfair on people like us who need to move either due to overcrowding, or moving to somewhere quieter and less stressful could help our health, all we need is for a landlord or letting agency to accept people like us, as we have not put ourselfs in this situation, i too suffer with depression, anxiety and panic attacks, i do want to lead a normal life being able to go out to the local shop without relying on family members to either go for me or walk with me. I think moving to cornwall would help me, as its such a beautiful laid back and peaceful place, not like where i am living at the moment.

Finding a rental home which allow pets can sometime become very challenging as many landlords doesn’t allow them. I was living in rental apartment with my dog, but in summer, he was affected by fleas and ticks. My owner told me to leave the house or cure your dog in 2-3 days, fortunately, I have came across this medicine https://www.petcarerx.com/k9-advantix-ii-for-dogs/11357 which showed effective result in a day. Really it was annoying, but thanks to my destiny, which worked in my favor and now I am living happily with my pet. I would suggest you to be a responsible pet owner and convey your concern positively to landowners. You will soon see positive result.
